> Consuming Passions is a single play consisting of two parts - Premonitions and Repercussions - which can be performed either separately or together. As it is a single play though, both parts need to be seen either together or in the correct order for the story to make sense.
> The plays were written with the intention of being performed in The Bistro (formally The Restaurant) at the Stephen Joseph Theatre. Alan Ayckbourn has always been a fan of lunchtime performances in this space and was disappointed when the former Artistic Director Chris Monks largely decided to move them to The McCarthy (thus defeating the point of a lunchtime play where in the restaurant you can have lunch…).
> Although each part was initially performed separately in The Bistro, the complete play was performed later in the season in The McCarthy.
